Founded in 2019, our goal is to be recognized as a reliable business ally for both local and international companies. We operate both bonded and non-bonded warehouses, strategically situated in Lagos and Port Harcourt, and extend our services to various Nigerian states like Abuja, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Kogi, Kaduna, Kano, Jos, and Katsina.

Our expertise is not limited to handling the import and export needs of our own group companies; we also offer comprehensive services to third-party companies. These services encompass import, export, and both international and local land and sea transportation. In the challenging Nigerian environment, characterized by congested ports and prevalent security and reliability concerns in shipping and storage services, UNR Integrated Ltd commits to upholding international standards in service delivery. We ensure a smooth process from the factory to the customer, both within Nigeria and on an international scale.

UNR is searching for experienced and committed Trailer Truck Drivers to join our logistics team. This role is critical for the transportation of goods between ports, factories, and other destinations. • Manage and oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring the cargo is secured properly.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and conduct operations in compliance with company policies and road safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service status, and report any issues to management promptly.
  • Uphold the security measures for the protection of company assets, including the vehicle, fuel, and transported goods, avoiding any form of theft or misappropriation.
  • Provide feedback to the maintenance team on the vehicle’s condition and collaborate with them for scheduled servicing and repairs.
  • Be prepared for long-term leave from family due to job requirements and demonstrate resilience in facing on-road challenges.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Trailer Truck Driver with a minimum of 5 years of long-distance driving, preferably in the long-distance haulage sector.
  • Knowledge and understanding of different types of trailer trucks and their maintenance requirements.
  • Commitment to long-haul routes which may extend for several days or weeks at a time.
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of driving long distances and manual handling of cargo when necessary.
  • A clean driving record and a valid truck driving license.
  • Strict adherence to security policies is imperative; drivers must not engage in the theft of truck parts, fuel, or other company assets.
  • Vigilance in the protection of company assets and a strong ethic of care towards equipment and goods transported.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications related to truck driving and maintenance are a plus.
  • Clear and fluent speaking of English and Hausa languages.
