These services encompass import, export, and both international and local land and sea transportation. We ensure a smooth process from the factory to the customer, both within Nigeria and on an international scale.
UNR seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accountant. The ideal candidate will be integral in overseeing the financial activities of our head office statutory entities and will be pivotal in managing our financial records and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting operations for head office statutory entities.
- Manage the processing of payments and invoicing.
- Prepare accurate monthly accounting records, including reconciliations, journals, trial balances, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Responsible for submitting monthly, interim, and year-end reports and packs.
- Manage daily finance operations and participate in financial planning.
- Develop comprehensive budgets and forecasts.
- Produce annual financial statements for review.
- Work closely with both internal and external auditors to maintain company compliance.
- Process VAT returns and tax calculations accurately and timely.
- Maintain clear communication with the group finance teams across the company.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting for the head office and subsidiaries.
- Support the finance team in consolidating results and reporting.
- Contribute to the group reporting system improvement.
- Prepare consolidated weekly cash forecasts and undertake ad-hoc financial projects as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be over 18 years old and younger than 45 years old.
- A graduate from a recognized university with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of financial accounting experience.
- A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent, CTA preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting softwares.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Staff who doesn’t have enough experience according to company requirements will be considered as new beginner or trainer. Those staff will be trained according to company requirements.
Location: UNR has the right to place the staff wherever company needs. Actual company workplaces are Abuja, Nasarawa, Lagos, and Port Harcourt offices. UNR can place the staff or change its location according to company requirements.
Accommodation and Transportation: UNR does not guarantee transportation and accommodation for its employees. However, the company may provide transportation and accommodation to employees, depending on the company’s resources and needs. This is not a requirement or guarantee. Employees who are not provided with transportation and accommodation must meet these needs on their own and cannot request additional compensation for this.
